Where The Boys Are...

Our boys are 10, 8, 7, 5, 3, 2 and 3 months (not pictured)….I feel a bit like Michelle Duggar (love her) or my friend Laura M. (love her too)….boys are a bit foreign to my family, so I’ve had to adjust myself to the life of a boy. Constant running, jumping, flipping, climbing, kicking, karate chopping, mud making, bug squishing, fearless actions…..whew … a bit different from the nail polish, dolls, books, stuffed animals, baking and house playing that my family is more familiar with. Not to say that these things don’t occur in the lives of both …but they really are different. I am learning to embrace the difference and I’m happy to be where the boys are!

Boy [boy] v. A noise with dirt on it.

You are so cute! Someone told me they liked raising boys better because if they have "problems" with another, they fight it out and are over it. We "girls" tend to emotionalize and hang on to stuff. What an honor to have the privilege of shaping the leaders of tomorrow!
. . . . and I love and admire those same two women you mentioned, too!
LOVE YOU!

Welcome to my world... except your is times a few more! They are never, not even while sleeping, still. Since I have been old enough to think about kids, I imagined some big vehicle stuffed full of boys--mine and their friends. It was load and it smelled BAD with lots of soccer cleats, basketballs, and matchbox cars. I think the logistics of my hopes were right on. Now Lord, let it be.

Boys are a DIFFERENT breed. I have one daughter and three sons and the difference is apparent that it was inately placed in us by the Creator.

I'll come and wrangle all those little guys for ya. i grew up with 2 brothers and over 25 teenage foster brothers over 10 years of my life. Yup, no sisters ever...it's a blessing and a curse, haha.

Love that picture. And...girl you described boys so well. Rachel and I often look at each other and wonder if we can stand the noise and ruckus one more minute. You need to bring one home for yourself...that should spice up Bigham land a bit!!!!
